Acapulco Restaurant

Really good food at a good price. My first visit for an early lunch. The restaurant decor was “dia de muertos”…dark, but the bathroom were spotless. The servers were attentive until the lunch crowd came in, then they were running to keep up. They stayed friendly no matter how busy they were. The food was very filling, not too much and super tasty. I’ll be back with hubby.

Acapulco Restaurant At the time of this writing I had been Craving Mexican Food for a few weeks. I came across this Restaurant when searching Google (of course). I wanted to try something Local and not a Chain. Upon checking out the Menu I was Pleasantly surprised to see Reasonable Prices. I decided this afternoon to call them up, a lady answered the phone after several rings; I explained I would like to place a ToGo order. The next thing I know she puts the phone down and I can hear her talking to someone in the background for about a Minute and the Click the phone went Silent. I am not sure if I was Cut off, hung up on or put on hold because she never told me she was stepping away from the phone. I tried calling back several times 5 times in fact before she answered the phone again. I explained I had just tried calling to place an order. Without an apology an explanation as to what happened she said “what can I get you”. (In a rushed hurried tone). After I placed my brief order and I mean brief, 40 Seconds to be exact, she said it would be ready in about 15 minutes. I said thank you. And we hung up the phone. 15 Minutes later I show up. The young woman who answered the phone was there behind the Hostess Station Playing on her phone. I was acknowledged once I said hello and told her I had a pick up order. She glanced at me with a Glaring Look of Disdain and with her 1 pointer finger in the air said “Tha Bar”. So unprofessional. She should never have looked at me with such a Disgusted look and then to point instead of gesturing is rude. I went to the Bar Paid and carried my food to the door. As I walked out the same young woman said Absolutely Nothing!!! Not Thank You, or goodbye, Nothing! As for the food. It was ok. The Chicken Quesadilla was ok. I felt sick a short time afterwards. Overall not a good experience and I will not go back. Very disappointing.

Amazing service at this restaurant from Elaine!! She was super busy, but was managing everything and everyone with a smile and a terrific attitude!! She made our experience so awesome! She is a one of kind in the rapidly depreciating service that is part of restaurants nowadays. Definitely would highly recommend this restaurant just based on her! We had the queso, a side of ground beef, pico de gallo, and chips and salsa. Everything was delicious!! The pico de gallo is on the smaller side and we would probably skip that. The queso is so delicious! The establishment does not offer a military discount which is unfortunate.

The food was very good. This was my first time here since covid happened. Unfortunately the service was terrible. Our waitress rarely came to check up on us and when she did come to the table she left so quickly we couldn't get a word in until she was across the resteraunt...We should not have had to shout to her running away for refills or to order something... paid no attention to the empty dishes until she threw the check at us. It was near closing time, there were not many people in there at the time. But she had enough time to talk to her coworkers who were eating at a table a few rows down from ours. They were also out of 2/4 of their desserts. What should've been a happy conclusion to date night turned into a very frustrating and disheartening evening... This could very well be a an isolated incident and if I go back there and my experience is better I will update the review. (Date of service was a little over 2 weeks ago)

The restaurant is decent, food and service were good not great. Steak was bland and cut thick which sinew left intact. The guacamole was good. The bill came and it had a 3% credit card fee. Very shady practice for restaurants as these costs are already factored into the menu prices. I feel bad for the servers that will suffer because of this policy. If you want customers to pay In cash offer a cash discount instead of charging extra for credit cards.
